MIDI to falling notes video
Drop a MIDI file and get a falling-notes piano video, upright for TikTok, Reels and Shorts or wide for YouTube. It is made right here in your browser.
How it works
- Choose a MIDI file. From MuseScore, a piano app, a DAW or a MIDI site. It stays on your device.
- Check the hands. A file with two tracks keeps them as the two hands. Otherwise pick the key where the right hand starts.
- Make the video. Upright or wide, the night lake or black, 30 or 60 frames a second. Then download the MP4.
What you get
- An MP4: H.264 video with sound, 1080p or 720p, upright 9:16 or wide 16:9.
- A real piano sound: The Salamander Grand, a sampled concert grand, plays every note.
- Two hands in colour: Right hand in orange, left hand in blue, letters on the notes if you like.
- A black background: Lay the notes over your own playing with a Screen blend in CapCut or Premiere.

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes, with no daily limit. Your own computer makes the video, so it costs us nothing.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The MIDI file and the video never leave your device.
Which browsers work?
Chrome or Edge on a computer, and Chrome on most Android phones. Keep the tab open and in front while it runs.
Is there a watermark?
A small pianolune.com in a corner and a short end card. Nothing covers the notes.
Can I post a video of any song?
Post only music you have the right to share. A cover of a song under copyright can be claimed on YouTube, and claimed Shorts longer than 60 seconds can be blocked, so keep those to the first 60 seconds.
